At the age of ten, Jaiswal relocated to Mumbai for cricket training at Azad Maidan. Initially housed in a dairy shop in exchange for work, he faced eviction due to irregular work hours and later lived in a tent with groundsmen at the Maidan, sustaining himself by selling panipuri.

Having spent three years in tents, Jaiswal’s cricketing potential was recognized in December 2013 by Jwala Singh, who operated a cricket academy in Santacruz. Singh not only provided Jaiswal with a place to stay but also became his legal guardian, acquiring power of attorney for the aspiring cricketer.
