The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced its plans to release an additional 400,000 tickets for the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, responding to the tremendous demand from cricket enthusiasts.

In a statement, the BCCI acknowledged the widespread interest in tickets for this highly anticipated tournament and revealed its decision to make around 400,000 more tickets available. This move aims to accommodate the fervent cricket fans and ensure their participation in this historic event.

Starting from 8:00 PM IST on September 8, the general sale of tickets for all matches will commence. Fans can purchase these tickets by visiting the website https://tickets.cricketworldcup.com. Further details about the subsequent phases of ticket sales will be notified in due course.

Ticket sales had previously begun for warm-up and event games involving all teams, excluding India, from August 28. As of August 30, tickets for India’s warm-up matches in Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram became available. Subsequently, on August 31, tickets for India’s matches in Chennai (against Australia on Oct 8), Delhi (against Afghanistan on Oct 11), and Pune (against Bangladesh on Oct 19) were released.
