Star Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja wore the Indian jersey after almost 5 months. He was out of the team due to knee injury and this period of separation from the team was not so easy.

In an interview with Star Sports, Jadeja said that the injury and recovery period was tough. He was given a choice to have his knee surgery before the T20 World Cup 2022, or after that. The all-rounder thought it better to have his surgery before the tournament as in any case he was set to miss the event.

Based on this performance he was included in the playing 11 for the first Test against Australia, and he took a Fifer in the 1st innings.
