6 Indian Players Who Deserve Chances in Limited Overs format

Indian cricketers to get famous in 2024

Indian Cricket  Team, a team which is known to back their players and does not believe in frequent changes in the squad until circumstances demand so. The test team is quite settled, whereas limited over side is going through a transition stage.

Over the last few years, we have seen some surprising decisions taken by selectors and captain for the Indian men side. The Indian cricket has achieved sheer dominance over the year both in ODI and T20I, but certainly it lacks one thing which is an ICC Trophy in its cabinet after 2013. India has performed and outplayed every team in an ICC tournament, however it struggled to go through the knockout stage or final step. This has created a sense of frustration in every Indian cricket enthusiast and can be seen in selectors too. Right before the T20 World Cup 2021, some settled names in the side like Yuzvendra Chahal, Shikhar Dhawan, were not picked for the tournament. Moreover, Ravichandran Ashwin made a comeback to limited side after ages that too at such a big stage.

Therefore, we believe its time these players deserve another chance for limited overs and may settle the side. Since Rohit Sharma has taken over the command of limited overs captaincy, we believe these players might have a shot in the side-

6 Indian Cricketers to Get Famous in 2024

1. Ravi Bishnoi

Ravi Bishnoi- a rising star who bowls leg spin is certainly on the cards to make his international debut soon. Since Yuzvendra Chahal has already been sidelined and Rahul Chahar is yet to create an impact to cement his spot in the side. Ravi Bishnoi seems to be an ideal choice in place of them, considering his great run for Punjab Kings in the IPL season consecutively.

2. Ruturaj Gaikwad

The player has created an impact whether it’s about IPL or recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy. A player who knows to carry the responsibility of team, as he has proven this for Chennai Super Kings. Moreover, he was awarded with a retention from CSK for his excellence. Therefore, he deserves a chance in Indian team. Although, he has opened the innings for now, but surely his batting style will be desirable in middle order too.

3. Mayank Agarwal

Mayank Agarwal has been in the test side regularly, although hasn’t been able to break his place for limited over squad. Mayank Agarwal has been a consistent performer for Punjab Kings with the bat, as he remained the second highest scorer for them after KL Rahul. The bucket is full and now it’s his time to have a chance in the national team.

4. Devdutt Padikkal

The left-handed batsman could prove to be a like replacement for Shikhar Dhawan. He has proven his metal in IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore as he carried the team when Virat Kohli was not able to score runs. He is due to get into Indian side soon.

5. Umran Malik

The speedster was introduced in the later stage of IPL 2021, however we believe he developed an astonishing image for himself. With Bhuvneshwar Kumar been in and out of side due to injuries, there are high chances of him breaking into the T20I team.

6. Harshal Patel

The highest wicket taker of IPL 2021, Harshal Patel, left every batsmen dancing on his deliveries and confused. The bowler kept them guessing and did wonders in death overs with his slower deliveries. Harshal Patel finally answered the queries of RCB leaking runs in death over. Thus, he is the most deserving and suitable bowler to be in the squad. He was the purple cap holder in IPL 2021

Apart from these 6 Indian players that we listed, our country have a number of players that should get chance in upcoming series again Srilanka & Westindies. They can also try new players such as Priyank Panchal, Abdul Samad, Shahrukh Khan and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
