India defeated Pakistan by 6 runs at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York to continue their domination in the ICC tournaments against their arch-rivals. Pakistan restricted India to just a total of 119 runs despite the India Team getting a quickfire start. For the most part of the chase, Pakistan was in control. However, when they lost control they just continued to drift away from the chase. The intense match between India and Pakistan was filled with great moments and below are some of the best.

    1. Mohammad Rizwan Bowled by Jasprit Bumrah

Mohammad Rizwan went for an out of character slog sweep when Pakistan was in a good spot in the chase. His stumps went flying as Bumrah targeted the wickets. It gave India and opportunity to stage a comeback in the match.

    2. Mohammad Siraj & Arshdeep Singh’s 3 Doubles

In the 19th over of Indian batting, Mohammad Siraj and Arshdeep Singh took three doubles courtesy of the lackluster fielding by Pakistan. This helped India reach a competitive total of 119 on the difficult batting pitch of Nassau.

    3. Babar Azam’s Wicket

Jasprit Bumrah was the man to break the opening partnership between Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. He bowled a short ball, which Babar tried to leave but the ball took the edge of his batting and went flying to the slips, where Suryakumar Yadav completed a very difficult catch.

    4. Axar Patel’s Knock

India lost Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma quite early in the powerplay. This is when the Indian Team management decided to send Axar Patel at number four. Axar did not disappoint and played a vital knock of 20 runs, which helped India make a comeback in the game.

    5. Rishabh Pant’s Catch Drops

Rishabh Pant was dropped thrice by the Pakistani fielders. Usman Khan dropped him twice, while Iftikhar Ahmed dropped him once. Pant ultimately went on to score in excess of 40 to help India reach a respectable total.

    6. Axar Patel’s Bowling against Imad Wasim

It is always said that a left-arm spinner cannot contain a left handed batter. However, Axar proved this wrong when he bowled a fabulous 16th over of the Pakistani innings. He only gave away 2 runs even when Imad Wasim on the strike for the most part of the over.

    7. Mohammad Amir’s Consecutive Wickets

Mohammad Amir dismissed Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja in successive deliveries. This allowed Pakistan to restrict India at just 119. Pant was playing a fearless knock and his wicket put a stop to India’s onslaught.
