India and Australia are going to play the first Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy from 9th February 2023 at Nagpur. Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out for India from the 1st Test, while Jasprit Bumrah is likely not to feature at all in the series. Ravindra Jadeja has finally returned to the Indian squad, but can India rely on him quickly after an injury in the significant series is one of the talking points before the 1st Test. Australia has included four specialist spinners in its squad for the series and has trained extensively for the turning tracks in Australia before boarding the flight to India.
