The Indian pacer and one of the stalwarts of the Indian bowling line-up Jasprit Bumrah are unfortunately going to miss the first two Tests of the series against Australia. He is not included in the final squad announced for the first two Tests by BCCI. However, Bumrah can make a return for the third and fourth Test to the Indian team.
According to recent reports, Jasprit Bumrah is currently at NCA, where he is working hard to attain match fitness. BCCI is likely not to rush the fitness process of Bumrah. Even after completely recovering, he is most likely going to play a domestic match before being considered to play in the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Jasprit Bumrah is just on the brink of attaining full fitness. He was recently announced for the series against Sri Lanka but, later on, was excluded from the squad due to the resurfaced back issues. Since then, Bumrah has been undergoing training to completely heal his back and make a return to the Indian team.
A source from BCCI has informed Cricreads that Bumrah is most likely going to be part of the 3rd and 4th Test against Australia. He is expected to attain full match fitness by then. The Indian team will surely miss their star pacer against the mighty Aussies in the first two Tests.
