Shubman Gill played an unbeaten knock of 126* off 63 in the 3rd T20I against New Zealand. He scored the highest score for an Indian in the T20 internationals. Gill was the star of the match with his blazing knock that proved his mettle in T20 cricket.

In the post-match conference, Shubman Gill expressed his views on his cricket and what it means for him to play for the Indian cricket team.

Gill said, “It feels good when you practice and it pays off. I was backing myself to score big. Didn’t happen in the Sri Lanka series, but happy to see it work out now. Everybody has a different technique to hit sixes. Hardik bhai told me to play my game, not do anything extra and he kept backing me.”

He further added, “When you represent your country, there is no fatigue. It was my dream to play for India, and I am very fortunate to be part of the team in all three formats.”

Shubman Gill was phenomenal for the Indian cricket team in the 3rd T20 and he became one of the few Indian batters to register centuries in all three formats of the game.
