Former Aussie cricketer, Ian Healy is quite vocal nowadays about his criticism of the pitches that are prepared in the sub-continent. He said on quite a few occasions that India is going to provide those wickets to Australia which are going to only favour them by ridiculously turning.
Healy came down hard on the Indian pitches. He said, “I think if they produce fair Indian wickets, we (Australia) win. If the wickets are unfair, which I’ve seen in the last series, where balls are jumping ridiculously and sliding down low from day 1, I think India plays those conditions better than us.”
Recently Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri criticised those who put blemish on Indian pitches by saying that the batters who struggle on spinning pitches are not technically correct and the Aussies need to learn how to face spin the subcontinent just like they expect Indians to play well on the bouncy pitches in Australia.
