“Australia now know the difference…”: Mohammad Kaif takes a savage dig at Australia with ‘duplicate Jadeja’ comment

A video from Australia’s training session before the 1st Test had gone viral where the batters were seen practicing against Mahesh Pithiya who has a bowling action just like India’s main spinner Ravichandran Ashwin. But while Ravichandran Ashwin made a mockery of the Australian batters in the 2nd innings with his five-wicket haul, the one that troubled them more was Ravindra Jadeja.

Taking to Twitter ahead of the second Test, Kaif took a dig at Australia. He wrote: “Australia now know the difference between facing duplicate Ashwin and real Ashwin. You can’t prepare to face one of all-time great by facing a young first-class player. Hope they not searching for a Jadeja duplicate in Delhi.”

Australia were also thrashed by Michael Vaughan on Twitter who sees a probable whitewash in the series by the Indians, which could subsequently see them falling out of contention for a place in the World Test Championship final.

The second Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be played in the Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi, starting February 17.
