    Auction for the inaugural edition of Women’s Premier League (WPL) has successfully ended. A total of 409 players went under the hammer, out of which 246 were Indians. Each team was allowed to buy a minimum of 15 players and a maximum of 18. So, 90 slots potentially could be filled. Teams were allowed to buy a maximum of 6 overseas players, including an associate member player. A total of 24 players, including 10 Indians listed themselves at the maximum base price of ₹50 lakh. Each team had a maximum purse of ₹12 crore.

    While most of the famous women cricketers had a huge pay day at the Auction, some failed to get a franchise. Here are the names of the famous women cricketers who went unsold in WPL Auction 2023:
