Star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who is set to miss the entire Border-Gavaskar Trophy, is likely to miss the ODI series against Australia too.
Bumrah has been struggling with a recurring back problem and was ruled out for the first two matches of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. He, therefore, will not be risked with the 2023 Cricket World Cup not very far. This means the speedster will be back directly for the IPL as the Indian team management is unlikely to risk playing him in the three ODIs against Australia just after the end of the four-match Test series.

The Indian pacer is currently at the NCA for rehabilitation from injury. He has been out of action for the last 6 months due to a persistent back injury.
Bumrah will undergo a fitness test next week. If he passes that test, Bumrah could return to the ODIs vs Australia which will begin on March 17 at Wankhede in Mumbai.
