The Indian cricket team is getting ready for their upcoming Test match against Australia, and all eyes are on Shreyas Iyer’s comeback. Luckily, the team has received a major boost from their head coach Rahul Dravid, who made a big statement on Iyer’s fitness and readiness to play.

In a recent press conference, Dravid declared that if Iyer is fit and ready to go, he will walk straight into the playing XI. The coach praised Iyer’s temperament and performance, stating that he has pulled India out of a few tricky situations in his short Test career.

Rahul Dravid said, "Shreyas Iyer's temperament has been standout. Him, Rishabh Pant and Jadeja have been bailing us out in tough situations".

Shreyas Iyer, who missed the first Test against Australia due to a back injury, has been training hard and has already had a long session. Dravid said that the team will assess his fitness again after a light hit tomorrow.

Iyer has played seven Tests and has scored 624 runs at an impressive average of 56.72, with one hundred and five fifties. Dravid’s statement has raised the excitement level for Iyer’s potential comeback and has given fans hope that the team will continue their winning momentum in the upcoming Test match.
