The West Indies cricket team (West Indies tour of South Africa, 2023) is currently on a tour of South Africa. The West Indies team will play 2 Test matches and 3 ODIs on the tour of South Africa. Apart from this, a series of 3 T20 matches will also be played. The first match of the Test series is going to start from 28 February. Before the Test series, the West Indies cricket team is playing a three-day practice match against the South African Invitational. On the first day of the practice match, West Indies scored 283 runs for 9 wickets. On the first day of this practice match, something happened which left the fans nostalgic.

Actually, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, son of former veteran cricketer Shivnarine Chanderpaul, was playing for the West Indies in the practice match, while Thando Nntini, son of former bowler Makhaya Ntini, is playing for South Africa.
On the first day of the practice match, Thando Ntini got success in dismissing Tagenarine Chanderpaul. This was such an occasion that the fans started diving into the sea of old memories. Actually, in his time Makhaya Ntini and Shivnarine Chanderpaul used to play against each other. Former bowler Makhaya managed to dismiss Shivnarine Chanderpaul 7 times during his international career between 2001 and 2008. Now the sons of both are on the cricket field.
Thando Ntini dismissed Tagenarine Chanderpaul in the 2nd innings of the match too which took the incident into the books of coincidence as in 2003 too Makhaya Ntini dismissed Shivnarine Chanderpaul twice in a Test match.
While Thando Ntini hasn’t got a chance to play Test yet, Shivnarine Chanderpaul’s son Tagenarine Chanderpaul has played 4 Test matches so far. During this, Chanderpaul’s son has done wonders by scoring one century and a double century.
