Jasprit Bumrah is going to miss the entirety of the Indian Premier League 2023. He is also gonna miss the World Test Championship final supposed to be held in June 2023 in England.
Recently, it was revealed that Bumrah will fly to New Zealand to get a back surgery from the hospital at which former Kiwi legend Shane Bond was treated. Jofra Archer has also seeked treatment for his injury at this particular hospital in New Zealand.
The Board of Cricket Council of India is very keen on somehow getting Jasprit Bumrah fit as soon as possible. When Sri Lanka recently visited India, Jasprit Bumrah’s comeback was announced but he was then later pulled back when he complained of back strain.
Indian fans were hopeful about Bumrah making a return to Indian cricket team during the Border Gavaskar Trophy but he was unable to get completely fit as his injury continues to persist.
If Bumrah goes through a successful surgery in New Zealand then he would require about 24 months of rehabilitation to get completely fit. BCCI is hopeful for Bumrah’s return to cricket in August or September 2023.
