    India vs Australia 5th Test ended in a draw as Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne ensured that Australia walked away unscathed on the 5th day of the 4th Test match. However, India won the series 2-1 and qualified for the World Test Championship Final. New Zealand also defeated Sri Lanka in the 1st Test of their series to ensure that India qualifies without any hitch for the WTC Final. India will face Australia at the Oval in the WTC Final.

    India 1st Inning: 571 Runs

    Australia 2nd Inning: 175/2

    Result: Draw

    Player of the Match: Virat Kohli (186 Runs)

    Player of the Series: Ravindra Jadeja (22 wkts, 135 runs) and R Ashwin (25 wkts, 86 runs)

    Australia won the toss and opted to bat first. The Ahmedabad pitch aided the batters, and the Australians, on the back of Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green’s centuries, piled up 480 runs in about the first two days of the game. R Ashwin took 6 wickets in the first inning of the match.

    Virat Kohli’s 186 runs and Shubman Gill’s first century on Indian soil in Tests ensured that India ended with a lead of 91 runs. Axar Patel also contributed handsomely with a half-century.

    India has to dismantle the Australian batting line-up on the 5th day to win the Test match. Travis Head, with his 90 and Marnus Labuschagne, with an unbeaten half-century, ensured that India did not take the win in this game.
