Sanjay Manjrekar has hailed the remarkable return of Ravindra Jadeja to Test cricket after a prolonged injury layoff. Jadeja, who had been sidelined due to a knee injury sustained during the Asia Cup last year, delivered a stunning performance in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy, earning the joint Player of the Series accolade with Ravichandran Ashwin.
Speaking during a post-series discussion on Star Sports, Manjrekar praised Jadeja’s ability to handle the unique pressure of a rank turner pitch, stating that the Test match pressure is vastly different from any other cricketing format. The former Indian batter highlighted that Jadeja’s return to international cricket after a long break made his performances all the more impressive.
