Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has dismissed reports of a rift between him and former Indian captain MS Dhoni, stating that they continue to share a great bond. Harbhajan pointed out that they have shared the dressing room for many years at the international level and in the Indian Premier League (IPL). While he admitted that they do not meet very often due to their busy lives, he stressed that there is no rift whatsoever.
In an interview with the YouTube channel ‘Sports Yaari’, Harbhajan said, “Why would I have a problem with MS Dhoni? We played a lot of cricket for India and have been very, very good friends, and still are. He became busy with his life, and I became busy with mine, and we don’t meet very often.”

Apart from playing together for the Indian team, Harbhajan and Dhoni were also a part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squad in the IPL. Harbhajan was with the franchise for three years and was also a part of their title-winning campaign in 2018.

Harbhajan also expressed his excitement about the addition of England’s all-rounder Ben Stokes to the CSK team for IPL 2023, stating that the presence of Dhoni and Stokes makes the team a formidable one. “Ben Stokes can win you tournaments, as simple as that. That one guy is enough, he will stay till the end,” Harbhajan said.

CSK acquired Stokes’ services for a whopping ₹16.25 crore at the IPL 2023 mini-auction last year. The team is set to face Gujrat Titans in the opening match of the season on March 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Despite the rumors, Harbhajan and Dhoni’s friendship remains strong, and the addition of Stokes to the CSK squad has boosted their chances of winning the IPL 2023 title. Fans of the team will undoubtedly be eagerly anticipating their upcoming matches with excitement and anticipation.
