Chennai Super Kings is looking for a successor as MS Dhoni is expected to retire from the tournament after this season. They burned a huge chunk of their cash at the IPL 2023 Auction to buy Ben Stokes who is now being called the future captain of CSK.
Ben Stokes has retired from the ODI cricket and plays only the T20 and Test cricket. He is the captain of England in the white ball format and for this reason he is expected to miss the playoffs of IPL as Ashes is set to begin in June. The decision of Ben Stokes to miss the IPL Playoffs for Ashes has created the doubt that whether he is the perfect fit for the captaincy role in CSK.

There are conflicting reports that are emerging. A few reports are claiming that CSK will make Ben Stokes captain while a few are claiming that either Ravindra Jadeja or Ruturaj Gaikwas are going to be made the captain of CSK.
Ben Stokes recently suffered an injury during the Test series against New Zealand. However, he has healed and updated his fans that he is going to p;at the IPL 2023’s first match.
