Mumbai Indians’ bowler Issy Wong created history in the first Women’s Premier League season being held in Mumbai. He became the first bowler to take a hat-trick in this league. Wong bowled brilliantly for Mumbai in the match. He took 4 wickets for just 15 runs in 4 overs. His hat-trick was also included in these four wickets.

1. Issy Wong was Born on 15 May 2002 in Chelsea (London). However, Wong’s ancestry is from Hong Kong.

2. Wong’s mother, being a freelance writer, used to write articles about cricket, and both Wong’s uncles played cricket for the Hong Kong national team.

3. Wong’s family moved from London to Warwickshire when she was five years old.

4. She became interested in Cricket at a very young age.

5. Wong loves cricket as well as football. She is an ardent fan of the Liverpool football team.

6. In 2018, Wong was selected for the England National Cricket Academy for the 2019-20 season after impressing with her all-round performance in the locally organized tournaments. 

7. In the Women’s Premier League, Mumbai Indians bought Issy Wong with a base price of 30 lakhs. 

Mumbai Indians has now qualified for the final of the the WPL and will face Delhi Capitals in the final match on March 26 at the Brabourne Stadium.
