IPL 2023: This is why Rohit Sharma missed the ‘Captain Photoshoot’ ahead of the tournament

For the last one or two days, many different news have been coming out regarding Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma. The team is scheduled to begin its campaign on April 2 against RCB in Bengaluru. 

On Thursday, the photoshoot of all the captains of IPL 2023 took place. There are 10 teams playing in IPL 16 but in the photo shoot there were only 9 captains instead of 10. Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma was missing in this photo. As soon as this photo surfaced, there was a stir on social media between the fans of Mumbai Indians and Hitman. There was only one question everywhere, where is Rohit Sharma?

Everyone was looking forward to getting an update on their favorite player. This news became more disturbing when a report came out two days ago that Rohit might miss some of the opening matches for Mumbai. However, the reason for this was said to be workload management. But the information that came out about him on Thursday increased everyone’s concern.

The reason for Rohit Sharma not appearing in the Captain photoshoot has been revealed in a report. TOI reported that Rohit did not appear in the captain’s photoshoot and pre-season meet due to ill health. Rohit was told that his health was not good and that is why he could not reach Ahmedabad for this program. But it has been said that he can be present during the first match of the team.
