On April 2, the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals will face off in fourth match of the TATA IPL 2023, marking the first blockbuster of the second double-header. This is the first match of the IPL 2023 for both teams and promises to be an exciting encounter between two highly skilled sides. The match will be played in Hyderabad and is scheduled to begin at 3.30 PM.
On Sunday, April 2, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, the fourth match of IPL 2023 will see the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) take on the Rajasthan Royals (RR).
With four wins from 14 games, Hyderabad finished in the eighth position. Meanwhile, with nine wins from 14 games, Rajasthan finished in the second position in the TATA IPL 2022.
Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals have faced each other 16 times in the IPL with both teams winning eight matches each. Therefore, both teams would be looking to improve their head-to-head record in their upcoming encounter.
In the TATA IPL 2023, Sanju Samson will be leading the Rajasthan Royals, whereas Aiden Markram has been appointed as the new captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, but since he is not available for the selection in today’s match, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will lead the Sunrisers Hyderabad team in his absence.

Sunrisers Hyderabad
Sunrisers Hyderabad is the only team in IPL 2023 that has not been affected by injuries to their key players. However, they will have to play their first match without the South African trio of skipper Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, and Marco Jansen, who are away playing in the ODI series against the Netherlands.

Rajasthan Royals
Due to a lumbar stress fracture, Rajasthan Royals’ pacer Prasidh Krishna was ruled out of IPL 2023. Consequently, the Royals have brought in swing bowler Sandeep Sharma as a replacement for Krishna.
