IPL 2022, CSK VS SRH: Preview, Fantasy XI and Much More

CSK vs SRH, the 17th match of Tata IPL 2022, is scheduled to be played at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai from 3:30 PM IST on 9th April 2022. The game will be the first one of the doubleheaders on Saturday.

    Team Updates:

Chennai Super Kings are going through a rough patch in the initial phase of the tournament. Their bowling unit is an area of concern without their premium strike bowler Deepak Chahar. Dwaine Pretorius and Chris Jordan’s inclusion has given the team some assurance, but still, the need for a wicket-taking bowler is felt in the crunch situations.

Super Kings have lost all three of their previous games in Tata IPL 2022 and will be eyeing a victory against SRH to kick off their campaign positively. Ruturaj Gaikwad at the top is yet to fire for them. The middle-order consisting of Moeen Ali and Ambati Rayudu is not entirely reliable in the tournament. The big positive that CSK has gained is Dhoni’s return to the form and Dube’s impeccable hitting in the lower order.

On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad looks like many misfits in the tournament. Their batters have let the bowlers down in their games so far in Tata IPL 2022. Kane Williamson, the skipper and Indian uncapped player in the SRH squad, is not performing well as they have wanted. Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram also need to shoulder the responsibility of carrying the game for Sunrisers in the middle overs.

In the bowling department, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has revamped himself from the previous season and looks an entirely different and better swing bowler in Tata IPL 2022. Umran Malik, the rising pacer, has also impressed with his fast and Swift bowling, but Malik is yet to find the rhythm that suits him. Washington Sundar is doing well with the ball in the powerplay, and SRH would want him to repeat the same in CSK vs SRH clash.

    Probable Playing XIs:

CSK: Robin Uthappa, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Moeen Ali, Shivam Dube, Ambati Rayudu, Ravindra Jadeja (c), MS Dhoni (wk), Dwaine Pretorius, Dwayne Bravo, Chris Jordan, Mukesh Choudhary

SRH: Kane Williamson (c), Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram, Rahul Tripathi, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Abdul Samad, Romario Shepherd, Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Umran Malik

    Cricreads Fantasy XI:

Robin Uthappa (c), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rahul Tripathi (vice-captain), Kane Williamson, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Shivam Dube, Moeen Ali, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Chris Jordan, T Natarajan

    Predicted Star Batter:

Ruturaj Gaikwad, the orange cap winner from the previous season, has not yet fired in Tata IPL 2022. He will fancy his chances in CSK vs SRH clash. Our analysts pick him to be the star batter to watch out for.

    Predicted Star Bowler:

Umran Malik, the express pace is due to find his rhythm sooner or later. He will become a lethal force against Super Kings at DY Patil Stadium in CSK vs SRH battle.

    CSK vs SRH Predicted Winner:

Sunrisers are the favourites to win the game and kickoff their winning campaign in the tournament.
