But once again the shadow of Covid has fallen on this league. Covid has not caught any player but has caught former Indian opener Aakash Chopra, who is included in the commentary panel.
While posting on Tuesday, Chopra wrote that he has once again come under the grip of Covid. He said that although the situation is under control, he will stay away from commentary.
When Covid spread, it had an impact on IPL as well. In the year 2020, IPL was first postponed and then this league was organized in UAE in September-October. After this, in 2021, the BCCI thought of organizing this league in India and it was also started, but in the first week of May, the cases of Covid came from the camp of Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals, and the league was stopped. It was then organized in the UAE again.

Last year IPL was held in India, but its matches were played in Mumbai and Pune only. Three grounds in Mumbai and Pune hosted the matches of this league.
