DC vs PBKS, the 32nd match of Tata IPL 2022, was a lopsided game in which Delhi Capitals completely overshadowed the Punjab Kings in all three facets of the game.

    DC vs PBKS Highlights:

Rishabh Pant won the toss and invited Punjab Kings to bat first at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Delhi made a few changes to its playing XI due to a covid outbreak in the camp. Mayank Agarwal came back into the playing XI for Punjab to handle the reigns again. Kings also brought in Nathan Ellis to boost their pace attack.

    PBKS Inning:

Punjab posted the lowest total of this season. They could only gather 115 runs before being bundled out by the Capitals. Dhawan scored 9 off 9, Bairstow made 9 off 8, Mayank Agarwal could only reach 24 off 15, and the dangerous Liam Livingstone could only muster 2 off 3.

Punjab Kings were left tottering at 54-4 with all their experienced batters being back into the dressing room. Jitesh Sharma and Shahrukh Khan had a bit of consolidating stand, but after Jitesh departed from the team total of 85, Punjab lost all hope in the DC vs PBKS clash.

Jitesh Sharma made a hard-fought 32 off 23 to somehow propel Punjab beyond at least a hundred run mark. Punjab ended its inning on 115/10 in 20 overs. Khaleel Ahmed, Axar Patel, Lalit Yadav and Kuldeep Yadav all took two wickets each.

    DC Inning:

Chasing a paltry 116, Delhi openers were in a hurry to get the match finished. Prithvi Shaw and David Warner annihilated the Kings’ bowling unit to post the highest total of powerplay in this edition of IPL. Shaw made a fantastic 41 off 20, including 7 fours and a six. David Warner remained unbeaten on 60* off 30, including 10 fours and a six to take his side home in the DC vs PBKS contest.
