Delhi Capitals’ Assistant Coach, Ajit Agarkar, spoke about his team’s performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, acknowledging that they have had a rocky start to the season, but remained optimistic that they can turn their fate around. In an interview with the media, Agarkar admitted that DC’s players have the talent and skills necessary to perform well in the tournament, but they have not been able to execute them effectively.
DC have lost all four of their matches so far in the tournament, with the exception of a close game against Mumbai Indians (MI). Despite their poor start, Agarkar believes that his team still has a chance to perform well and make their mark on the IPL this year. He emphasized that the team’s next match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) would be a critical opportunity for them to turn things around.

“It’s in our hands to turn it around. We’ve got another opportunity in our next match. If we play our best cricket then that should be enough to get us some points. We are trying to help the players rectify their mistakes and also keep the group together as much as possible,” said Agarkar.
The assistant coach also suggested that the Capitals should focus on their strengths and play their best cricket to beat RCB in their upcoming match. He acknowledged that RCB is a formidable team but emphasized that DC is capable of beating any team on their day.
