RCB’s second consecutive loss in the IPL 2023 has left fans disappointed, but all-rounder Glenn Maxwell gave the team something to smile about. Despite the team’s defeat against the Lucknow Super Giants, Maxwell delivered a powerful knock of 59 runs off 29 balls. In a recent video posted by RCB on their YouTube channel, Maxwell revealed the craziest compliment he received in India, saying that he was once compared to Virat Kohli.
“I got compared to Virat Kohli once, that was a serious compliment. It was completely unnecessary and definitely not even true but I had a couple of good knocks and got compared to Virat that was quite nice,” Maxwell said.

Maxwell also shared his crazy fan interactions in India, saying that people chased him and his teammate Faf du Plessis down the road and banged on their windows.
“Anytime you are going through an airport in India it’s pretty crazy. Yesterday, in the car there were people chasing me and Faf down the road and banging on the windows, that was interesting,” he said.

When asked about his interests outside of cricket, Maxwell stated that YouTube is his favorite social media platform, where he enjoys watching videos of Golf, Good Good, Rick Shiels, and Brian Bros. The Australian batter stated that he wakes up early to play golf.
Despite RCB’s recent defeats, fans remain hopeful for their next game, and Maxwell’s contributions to the team have not gone unnoticed. While he may not be the next Virat Kohli, Maxwell’s unique style and approach to the game make him a valuable asset to the team.
