IPL 2023: MS Dhoni comes up with a new statement on his IPL retirement

While attending an event along with other CSK members, Dhoni was asked a question about his retirement plans, to which he responded…

IPL 2023, most probably, will be the last IPL for MS Dhoni as a player. Many CSK fans have even made up their minds and have gotten an idea that MS Dhoni might not play the next edition of the tournament. However, recently, MS Dhoni has come up with a new statement on his IPL retirement.

While attending an event along with other CSK members, Dhoni was asked a question about his retirement plans, to which he responded in a quirky manner saying:

“There’s a lot of time to take that call (Retirement). Right now we have a lot of games and the coach will be under pressure if I say something.”

MS Dhoni is currently suffering through a knee injury and there has been a lot of talk surrounding his fitness issues in the ongoing IPL season.

Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming stated that captain MS Dhoni is “nursing a knee injury” which hindered his running between the wickets.

Hence, it’s almost clear that MS Dhoni, at 40+ age, will now continue as a player in the next IPL season.
