Gujarat Titans easily registered a victory by 55 runs in yesterday’s match of IPL 2023 against the Mumbai Indians. The game was completely one-sided, and the Titans dominated from the beginning till the end.

Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl first. Arjun Tendulkar provided the visitors with a breakthrough by getting Wriddhiman Shah’s (4 off 7) wicket. However, Shubman Gill took the initiative and smashed 56 off 34 to uplift his team during the powerplay. The Titans captain, Hardik Pandya, could not do much and departed after scoring 13 off 14.

Vijay Shankar could not provide the impetus in the middle overs of the innings and scored only 19 off 16. However, after that, David Miller and Abhinav Manohar constructed a phenomenal partnership and dismantled the bowlers of the Indians. Manohar was named player of the match for his match-winning 42 off 21. Miller also played a crucial knock of 46 off 22. Rahul Tewatia contributed an unbeaten 20 off just 5 balls at the end of GT’s inning.

Mumbai Indians never looked in the hunt for the huge total. They lost their captain Rohit Sharma (2 off 8) quite early, and after that, the wickets continued to tumble from both ends. Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad, the two Afghan spinners, did not let the Mumbai batters get settled. Rashid took two wickets, while Noor grabbed 3 wickets. Ultimately Mumbai Indians fell short by 55 runs in the match to concede another loss.
