Harbhajan Singh, former Indian cricketer, recently slammed Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper David Warner after their recent loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) during the 40th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Harbhajan claimed that if Warner had played 50 balls, DC would have lost by 50 runs. He went on to criticize Warner’s captaincy and said that he hasn’t led the side well and that he doesn’t think that the team can make a comeback.

During the match, DC suffered a disappointing 9-run loss against SRH, marking their sixth loss of the IPL 2023 season. A poor bowling performance saw them conceding 197 runs, which they struggled to chase down. Although Mitchell Marsh and Phil Salt brought the team back into the game with their exquisite 112-run partnership, the team’s middle-order failed terribly and couldn’t capitalize on the start.

Harbhajan Singh also criticized Warner’s form this season, stating that his 300 runs are of no use to DC. Warner is the leading run-getter for his side in IPL 2023 with 306 runs in 8 innings and four half-centuries, but his strike rate of 118.6 is concerning.

Harbhajan’s criticism of Warner’s captaincy and form has brought attention to the team’s performance and the need for improvements. Fans will be watching DC’s next match closely as they take on another tough opponent on Tuesday (2nd May) at the Narendra Modi International Stadium in Ahmedabad.
