IPL 2023: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jitesh Sharma and Tilak Varma Expected to Get Selected for India vs West Indies T20I Series

The Indian team is expected to continue without Kohli and Sharma in T20 cricket

Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 has unearthed a lot of talented individuals in the ongoing tournament so far. Rohit Sharma recently said in a post match interview that Mumbai Indians’s young left handed batter Tilak Varma will soon represent India. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jitesh Sharma are also expected to get India call-up for their impressive performance in the tournament.

The Indian squad for the T20, ODI and Test series against West Indies in West Indies is expected to be announced after the World Test Championship Final against Australia at The Oval. The selection committee is expected to give chances to new young players in T20 cricket as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are expected to miss this year’s T20I matches in preparation for the upcoming ODI World Cup.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is currently the second highest rum-getter in the tournament with close to 500 runs. The left-handed opening batter has done well in the domestic cricket and is now making his presence feel in the biggest cricket league. Jaiswal is expected to be one of the openers alongside Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill who are going to represent India in the T20I series against West Indies.

Tilak Varma has done wonders with the bat for Mumbai Indians in this season of Indian Premier League. He is also expected to get selected for the T20 series. Lastly, Jitesh Sharma has been brilliant for Punjab Kings in the ongoing edition of the tournament. He is a reliable finisher who can get selected for the T20Is.
