The upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is already creating a buzz among cricket fans across the world. But recently, PCB Chairman Najam Sethi made a controversial statement, accusing the BCCI of being afraid of losing to Pakistan in both India and Pakistan. He questioned the Indian cricket team’s reluctance to travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup in 2023, despite other Indian sports teams visiting the country recently.
Sethi’s comments came after the PCB proposed a hybrid model for hosting the Asia Cup, which did not gain much interest from other cricket boards. The BCB and SLC did not want to play in the UAE in the summer, just before the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023.

Sethi also responded to the speculation surrounding the venue for the much-anticipated match between Pakistan and India, saying that politics might have been involved in the decision to play in Ahmedabad. He added that it gave the impression that the venue selection was a red herring being thrown in Pakistan’s way to warn them.

The news of Pakistan taking on India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, October 15, has already created a lot of excitement among cricket fans. However, Pakistan will play most of their matches at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Sethi’s statement has stirred up a lot of controversy, and cricket fans are eagerly waiting to see how the BCCI responds to the accusations. With the World Cup less than two years away, the tournament’s excitement is already at an all-time high. The upcoming edition is set to be a thrilling experience for fans worldwide, with some of the world’s best cricket teams competing against each other.
