In a thrilling encounter between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL 2023, Rinku Singh’s scintillating 67-run innings left everyone in awe, including LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir. Taking to Twitter, Gambhir praised the left-handed batsman as a sensational talent and acknowledged his incredible efforts in the match.

Rinku Singh’s explosive knock came off just 33 balls, providing a glimmer of hope for KKR in their pursuit of victory. With 40 runs required from the last two overs, Singh unleashed his batting prowess, smashing three sixes and four boundaries. However, his valiant effort fell just two runs short as LSG clinched a nail-biting victory by a mere one run.

Gautam Gambhir, the former KKR captain who led the franchise to two IPL titles, expressed his admiration for Rinku Singh’s exceptional batting display. Taking to Twitter, Gambhir hailed the young talent and marveled at his sensational skills.

“What an effort by Rinku today! Sensational talent!” Gambhir tweeted, commending Singh’s remarkable performance.

KKR skipper Nitish Rana also showered praise on Rinku Singh, acknowledging his stupendous batting prowess in IPL 2023. During the post-match presentation, Rana struggled to find words to describe Singh’s exceptional abilities. He emphasized that the world had witnessed Singh’s remarkable talent on the cricket field.

“It feels like in all 14 matches, I have spoken about Rinku. I am personally very happy for him, and I don’t really have words to describe him because the entire world has seen what he can do on a cricket field,” Rana expressed during the post-match presentation.

Singh’s heroics have made him a sensation in the tournament, particularly after his display of power-hitting when he smashed five sixes off the last five balls to secure victory for his team against the Gujarat Titans in an earlier game. Throughout IPL 2023, the left-handed batsman amassed an impressive total of 474 runs in 14 matches, boasting an average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.52. He also registered four half-centuries.

Furthermore, Singh emerged as the leading run-scorer for his team in the season, further solidifying his reputation as a key performer. Although KKR finished in the 7th spot on the points table after their defeat against LSG, Singh’s brilliance throughout the tournament showcased his prowess as one of the best finishers in IPL 2023.
