Former Indian head coach and cricketer Ravi Shastri named his combined Indian Test XI, which included players from the two finalists in the ICC World Test Championship, India and Australia.
Shastri admitted in a recent episode of the ICC Review that assembling a combined playing XI was difficult due to the sheer amount of world-class talent available on both sides.
However, the India legend stuck his neck out and chose a final XI in which only four Indian players made the cut.

Ravi Shastri combined India-Australia Test XI:
Rohit Sharma (c), Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Ravindra Jadeja, Alex Carey, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Mohammad Shami
Shastri said if Steve Smith was the captain of Australia he would have had a hard time choosing Rohit Sharma over Smith as the captain of WTC Final combined playing 11. He also said that it was a tough choice between Usman Khawaja and Shubman Gill.
