IPL Prize Money 2023: Winning Team Will Get This Massive Amount

The Orange Cap and Purpel Cap winners will each receive Rs 15 lakh, while the Emerging Player of the tournament will receive Rs 20 lakh.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) has grown in popularity by leaps and bounds over the years. Since its inception in 2008, the IPL has seen a massive increase in viewership, making the tournament more lucrative in terms of prize pool. In the first two editions, the winning team received Rs 4.8 crore, while the losing team received Rs 2.4 crore. Last season, Gujarat Titans were awarded Rs 20 crore for winning the IPL, while Rajasthan Royals were awarded Rs 13 crore.

The prize pool for teams this season, according to Sportstar, is Rs 46.5 crore.

The Orange Cap and Purple Cap winners will each receive Rs 15 lakh, while the Emerging Player of the tournament will receive Rs 20 lakh.

In addition, the season’s Most Valuable Player receives a cash prize of Rs 12 lakh.

The four-time champions Chennai Super Kings will face the holders Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2023 final on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Both teams had met during Qualifier, with CSK winning convincingly.

Shubman Gill hit 129 to help holders Gujarat Titans defeat Mumbai Indians by 62 runs in Qualifier 2 on Friday.

Gill’s 60-ball century, his third in four IPL innings, helped Gujarat to 233-3, a total they defended by bowling out five-time champion Mumbai for 171 in 18.2 overs in the previous playoff.
