The BCCI SGM has concluded, and many decisions have been made. The fate of the upcoming Asia Cup remains in doubt as its future remains uncertain. The World Cup schedule, on the other hand, will be announced when India takes on Australia in the highly anticipated World Test Championship Finals.
“The venues for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will be decided at a press conference during the ICC World Test Championship Final. The complete schedule for the tournament will also be revealed,” Jay Shah said.

“The future of the Asia Cup 2023 will be decided once we have a meeting with the ACC members (Test-playing nations) and the Associate nations,” Shah added.
The BCCI secretary stated that 15 stadiums have been shortlisted for improvements in basic facilities for fans, with more stadiums being added at a later stage. Grant Thornton has been tasked with this task.
The BCCI has requested assurances regarding Pakistan’s visit to India in October for the World Cup 2023. The situation will be thoroughly discussed on Saturday, prior to the SGM. If everything goes as planned, Pakistan will be able to breathe a sigh of relief because formal approval is very likely. The list of final venues and the World Cup 2023 schedule are expected next month following discussions with the ICC.
