ICC ODI World Cup 2023: 15 Shortlisted Venues for Matches Revealed by BCCI

Here is the list of 15 Venues shortlisted for ODI World Cup 2023

The highly anticipated ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is only five months away, and cricket fans in India are eager to see the grand event unfold. The prestigious tournament will return to India after an absence of 12 years. Notably, the 50-over world cup was last held in India in 2011, when the Men in Blue made history by becoming the first host team to win the trophy.

It is also worth noting that the 2011 World Cup was a huge success in terms of organization. As a result, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is charged with upholding and maintaining the legacy.

However, due to ongoing disputes between the BCCI and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), there are concerns about Pakistan’s participation in the competition, which is a concern for both the Indian board and cricket fans. Despite these tensions, the BCCI appears to be more focused on successfully hosting the event, as they have begun planning and have identified 15 potential venues for hosting matches during the World Cup, which is set to take place from October 5 to November 19.

With the World Cup rapidly approaching, the BCCI is expected to provide the schedule to the International Cricket Council (ICC) shortly.
