Cricket enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating the schedule for the 2023 ODI World Cup, set to be hosted by India from October 5. The cricketing boards of India and Pakistan have been engaged in a dispute, with India refusing to tour Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023. In response, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) threatened to boycott the upcoming World Cup.

However, recent reports suggest that the Indian cricket governing body has agreed to Pakistan’s hybrid model for the Continental Cup, and as a result, the Men in Green are now prepared to participate in the global tournament.

In the midst of these developments, Dainik Jagran has unveiled the preliminary schedule for the World Cup, which reveals that the opening match will be held between Australia and New Zealand.

Pakistan, initially unwilling to play at the Narendra Modi Stadium, will now contest their matches in Chennai and Hyderabad.

Nevertheless, the much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan will indeed take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, will face Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, while their match against England will be held in Lucknow.

The finalized schedule for the tournament is expected to be released in the coming days. This marks the first time that India will host the entire World Cup, having previously co-hosted the event in 1987, 1995, and 2011.
