Naveen-ul-Haq has finally broken his silence on the heated controversy involving him and Virat Kohli during an IPL match between RCB and LSG in the recently concluded season.
The incident took place during the post-match handshake, where Naveen and Virat engaged in a verbal altercation. The visuals captured the two players in a heated argument, and LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir also got involved, further escalating the situation.
Gambhir recently shed light on the incident, revealing that Naveen was in the right, as Virat had sledged him, leading to the argument.

“Throughout my career, I have never engaged in sledging, but if someone tries to provoke me, I do not hold back, regardless of who they are. After the match ended, while shaking hands with Kohli, he held my hand, and that’s when I had to pull my hand away.”
“If you watch the video, you’ll see the match referee present there. I maintained my composure, but the fines imposed on us are evidence of who started it.”
It’s worth noting that Naveen received a 50% match fee cut, while Virat Kohli was fined 100% of his match fees for their involvement in the incident.
