England batsman Harry Brook commended Stuart Broad’s remarkable bowling display on Day 4 of the first Ashes 2023 Test, expressing that it felt like Broad could take a wicket with every delivery. Australia concluded the fourth day’s play at 107/3 while chasing 281 runs. Usman Khawaja (34*) and Scott Boland (13*) were at the crease, holding Australia’s hopes.
Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith, the two most formidable Australian batsmen, fell victim to Broad’s skillful bowling. Broad generated movement in both directions, causing Labuschagne and Smith to edge the ball behind while attempting ambitious drives, unable to contend with Broad’s relentless accuracy.
In a video shared by England Cricket on their Twitter account, Harry Brook shared his thoughts on Stuart Broad’s spell, saying, “It was good. Felt like he (Broad) was going to get a wicket every ball. Especially when we got it swinging there at the end. He was awesome then and hopefully, he can carry it on tomorrow.”

Harry Brook firmly believes that England will emerge victorious on the final day and secure a 1-0 series lead. He emphasized the importance of early breakthroughs in the morning session, stating, “Obviously I am going to be biased and say we are going to win. Hopefully, we can get a couple of early wickets in the morning and try and run through them.”
