After the announcement of the World Cup 2023 schedule, the focus now shifts to the Asia Cup 2023 Schedule. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is currently in discussions with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to finalize the venues for the tournament. The schedule is expected to be announced in the coming week.
The delay in announcing the schedule is mainly due to the venue selection process. Lahore and Dambulla are the frontrunners to host the games, while Colombo was initially the preferred choice. However, due to the monsoon season, there has been a change in plans, and a final decision regarding the venues in Sri Lanka will be made this week.

The ACC has approved the hybrid model for the Asia Cup 2023, which will see Pakistan hosting the first four matches. These initial games will take place in Lahore before the tournament moves to Sri Lanka. The Asia Cup is scheduled to start on August 31 and will culminate with the final match in Sri Lanka on September 17.
The much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan is expected to be held in Dambulla during the Asia Cup 2023. However, a final decision on the venue for this match is still pending. Before the tournament moves to Sri Lanka, there will be a gap of 2-3 days. India is likely to start their campaign against co-host Sri Lanka on September 6.
