ICC ODI World Cup 2023 Venue: Full List of Cities and Stadiums for WC 2023

ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is all set to kick off from 5th October 2023 with a match between the current champions England and the runners ups New Zealand at the world’s largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad. The tournament will have a total of 48 matches which will take place in across 10 venues in India. The final of the tournament will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium on 19th November 2023.

The Indian team which serves as the host this year will start its ICC ODI World Cup 2023 campaign at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on 8th October 2023 against the mighty Australians. The marquee match between India and Pakistan will take place at the venue in Ahmedabad on 15th October 2023.

This year’s World Cup will feature a total of 10 teams. India, as the hosts, secured direct qualification, while Afghanistan, Australia, England, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Pakistan, and South Africa earned their spots through the 2020-2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.

Netherlands and Sri Lanka have also qualified for the World Cup in India after playing the Qualifiers which were held between six teams in Zimbabwe. Unfortunately, West Indies and Zimbabwe have not qualified for the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in India.

The ten cities which will hold the World Cup 2023 matches are Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata and Mumbai.

Bengaluru: M Chinnaswamy Stadium
Chennai: MA Chidambaram Stadium
Delhi: Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium
Dharamsala: Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium
Lucknow: Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium
Hyderabad:
 Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Uppal
Pune: Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium
Kolkata: Eden Gardens (2nd Semi-Final)
Mumbai: Wankhede Stadium (1st Semi-Final)

In addition to the ten main event venues, the warm-up games for the World Cup will take place at two additional locations: the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati and the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad will also be one of the venues for the warm-up matches.

Holkar Stadium in Indore and Mohali Stadium in Punjab have missed out in the upcoming World Cup. Unfortunately, these venues won’t hold any matches in the tournament.
