Ganguly, who celebrated his 51st birthday recently, identified five teams that he believes have the potential to reach the semi-finals in the tournament, which will be held in India later this year. He expressed his optimism about a highly anticipated match between traditional rivals India and Pakistan taking place at the iconic Eden Gardens stadium as one of the semi-final encounters.

“It’s very hard to say [teams that could make the semi-final],” Ganguly said in an interview on RevSportz.

“Australia, England, India. You can never underestimate New Zealand in these big matches. I will pick five, and include Pakistan also.”
