India was Scared of Defeats against Pakistan: Abdul Razzaq Makes a Bold Claim

Former Pakistani all-rounder Abdul Razzaq recently made a surprising statement regarding the Indian cricket team while expressing his support for the resumption of bilateral series between India and Pakistan.

After nearly a year, India and Pakistan are set to compete against each other in the upcoming Cricket World Cup 2023. The much-anticipated match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which holds the distinction of being the largest cricket stadium globally. It is worth mentioning that Pakistan’s previous visit to India was in 2016, during the ICC T20 World Cup.

Former Pakistani all-rounder Abdul Razzaq recently made a surprising statement regarding the Indian cricket team while expressing his support for the resumption of bilateral series between India and Pakistan. Razzaq suggested that during the 1997-98 period, India deliberately avoided playing against Pakistan due to Pakistan’s superior performance on the field. However, he acknowledged that circumstances have changed since then and emphasized the importance of a team’s performance on any given day.

“We have a mutual respect and friendship. The only team that doesn’t compete against Pakistan is India. Back in 1997-98, they did not play against us much because we were a formidable force, and India often ended up losing. Now, it’s 2023, and we need to alter our mindset. No team should be considered superior or inferior; it is the performance during the game that truly matters,” explained Razzaq during an interview with EHCricket.

In addition, Razzaq pointed out that both India and Pakistan have formidable teams, drawing a parallel with the ongoing Ashes 2023 series between England and Australia. He expressed his eagerness to witness future series and matches between India and Pakistan, indicating his enthusiasm for the intense rivalry between the two cricketing nations.
