BCCI has announced that woman cricketers will now be paid equal to men cricketers as per match fees in international games. Both women and men cricketers will now be paid Rs 15 Lakh per match for a Test game, Rs 6 Lakhs per match for ODIS, and Rs 3 Lakh per match for T20Is.

Jay Shah made the announcement via a Tweet. The BCCI secretary Tweeted, “I’m pleased to announce @BCCI’s first step towards tackling discrimination. We are implementing pay equity policy for our contracted @BCCIWomen cricketers. The match fee for both Men and Women Cricketers will be the same as we move into a new era of gender equality in Indian Cricket.

Jay Shah mentioned in his Tweet that BCCI is heading towards a new era in which both men and women cricketers will be treated equally from here on. Recently, Roger Binny became the new chief of BCCI, and he announced that he would be making a few changes to the existing regime system and this may be the first one change he was talking about.
