    The prominent Australian women’s cricketer Ellyse Perry reached a milestone of 6000 international runs during a remarkable innings in the 2nd ODI against England Women. She played a stunning knock of 91 runs, leading her team to a thrilling 3-run victory.

    The ongoing Women’s Ashes 2023 series between Australia Women and England Women has been a captivating battle. The series, comprising a Test, ODI, and T20I series, is being held in England. Australia Women emerged victorious in the Test, winning by 89 runs, while England Women claimed the T20I series 2-1.

    In the 2nd ODI at The Rose Bowl Stadium on Sunday (July 16), Ellyse Perry achieved the milestone of 6000 international runs. The right-handed batter played a crucial innings, scoring 91 runs off 124 balls, including 9 boundaries and 1 six. Batting at the number three position, Perry played a vital role in guiding Australia Women to a strong total of 282-7 in the first innings.

    With this remarkable feat, the 32-year-old batter has amassed 876 runs in Tests, 3518 runs in ODIs, and 1627 runs in T20Is. In Women’s ODIs, Ellyse Perry ranks fourth on the list of highest run-getters for Australia. In Tests, she holds the third spot among the leading run-scorers for her country. In T20Is as well, she stands at the third position among Australian Women’s leading run-getters.

    In the 3rd ODI between England Women and Australia Women, Australia successfully defended a total of 282-7 to secure a thrilling 3-run victory. Nat Sciver-Brunt of England played a magnificent unbeaten century (111*), but her efforts fell short.

    Alana King and Ashleigh Gardner were the heroes for Australia Women, each taking three wickets to help seal the victory. The match witnessed an intense finish as Australia Women defended 15 runs off the final over.

    With the ODI series currently tied at 1-1 after two games, the 3rd ODI, which is also the final match of the Women’s Ashes 2023, will be held on July 18 at The Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton.
