The much-anticipated second Test match between India and West Indies is scheduled to be held at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, commencing on July 20 and concluding on July 24. Rohit Sharma’s Team India is determined to secure a 2-0 series whitewash as they face West Indies in the second Test of the two-match series. On the other hand, West Indies will be determined to rebound in this Test, with the goal of securing a victory to level the series.

At the end of Day 4, Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Jermaine Blackwood found themselves in the middle for West Indies, with a daunting task ahead of them as they needed 289 more runs on Monday to secure a victory. However, India also had their sights set on triumph, requiring 8 more wickets to claim a win, and they already made progress on Day 4 when Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Kraigg Brathwaite and Kirk McKenzie.

During the final session of Day 4, India declared their second innings at 181 for 2, setting a challenging target of 365 runs for West Indies to achieve victory in the second Test on Sunday. Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan remained not out on 29 and 52, respectively, when the declaration was made, but rain disruptions affected play during the day, with only three overs possible in the afternoon session. Despite the weather interruptions, India managed to extend their lead to 301 runs by tea.

Earlier in the day, India made a quick start, racing to 98 for one before rain forced an early lunch break. After the resumption of play, they added 20 runs in three overs, losing Yashasvi Jaiswal (38 off 30) before rain once again interrupted the game at the Queen’s Park Oval. Here in this article, we have covered everything you need to know about the India vs West Indies 2nd Test weather report for day 5.
