Sarfaraz Khan is expected to miss out on the Asia Cup 2023 squad of Pakistan Cricket Team

The Asia Cup 2023 is scheduled to take place from August 30 to September 17, with Pakistan and Sri Lanka as the hosts. The opening match will be held in Multan on August 30, featuring a clash between Pakistan and Nepal.

In 2008, Pakistan hosted the Asia Cup for the first time. They have claimed victory twice in the tournament, achieving success in 2000 and 2012. The Asia Cup follows a pattern of alternating between One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 (T20) matches every two years. For the upcoming Asia Cup in 2023, the games will be contested in the ODI format.
