When & Where to Buy Cricket World Cup 2023 Tickets Offline

ICC and BCCI will soon unveil ticket booking details, allowing fans to witness clashes among the top 10 world teams.

India is set to host the ICC Cricket World Cup for the fourth time, after a 12-year gap. Their previous victory on home soil was in 2011, led by captain MS Dhoni. However, subsequent editions in 2015 and 2019 saw India’s disappointment as they were eliminated in the semifinals.

For the upcoming 2023 World Cup, the BCCI has selected 12 venues, with 10 of them hosting the main event. The main event locations include Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Lucknow, Dharamsala, and Kolkata. Additionally, Guwahati and Trivandrum will host warm-up games along with Hyderabad.

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is scheduled to commence on October 5th, featuring a match between 2019 finalists England and New Zealand at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium. India’s opening game against Australia will be held at Chennai’s Chepauk on October 8th.

With the exception of Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, each venue will host 5 matches. Hyderabad will accommodate 3 main event games and the Warm-up games. India will travel to 9 cities during their World Cup campaign, excluding Hyderabad.

Enthusiastic fans are eager to secure their spots in the stadium, anticipating the battle for cricket’s most coveted trophy. ICC and BCCI will soon unveil ticket booking details, allowing fans to witness clashes among the top 10 world teams.

The main event will feature 10 qualified teams. Notably, West Indies, two-time champions, won’t participate for the first time in history. Their elimination came in the World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe, where they faced defeats against Scotland, Zimbabwe, and the Netherlands.

Afghanistan and Bangladesh secured direct qualification for the event, joined by top-ranked teams Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, England, and host nation India. Notably, this marks India’s first sole hosting of the event.

In past editions, India shared hosting duties with Pakistan in 1987 and 1996, with Sri Lanka in 1996 and 2011, and with Bangladesh in 2011. A revised schedule is anticipated in the coming days, prompted by requests from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to shift the India vs Pakistan match and Pakistan’s first two matches to alternative dates.

Specifics regarding the purchase of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 tickets in India will be provided once the official announcement is made.
