Following the release of an updated itinerary for the 2023 ODI World Cup, which involved modifications to nine matches including the high-profile India vs Pakistan encounter, the International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed that tickets for the prestigious tournament will become available for purchase on August 25. The event is set to commence on October 5, commencing with a match between the previous edition’s finalists, England and New Zealand, who will face off at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The ICC has also outlined a phased approach for ticket releases concerning India matches in order to prevent confusion among fans. On August 25, tickets for all matches not involving India, including non-India warm-up matches, will be made available. This covers matches for nine teams: England, Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and the Netherlands.

For India matches, the ticket sale process becomes more complex as it will be divided based on venues. Starting from August 30, tickets for India’s warm-up matches will be up for purchase. Subsequently, main round tickets for India matches will be accessible from August 31. Noteworthy is the India vs Pakistan match, originally scheduled for October 15 but now set for October 14; tickets for this intense encounter can be secured starting September 3.

In order to effectively handle the anticipated demand for tickets and to ensure that a maximum number of fans have the opportunity to witness the world’s top cricketers in action, the sale of tickets will occur in stages on the following dates:

Ticket Information for India Matches in the ICC World Cup 2023:

    • August 25: Tickets for non-India warm-up matches and all matches not involving India in the tournament.
    • August 30: Tickets for India’s warm-up matches at Guwahati and Trivandrum.
    • August 31: Tickets for India matches in Chennai (against Australia), Delhi (against Afghanistan), and Pune (against Bangladesh).
    • September 1: Tickets for India matches in Dharamsala (against New Zealand), Lucknow (against England), and Mumbai (against Sri Lanka).
    • September 2: Tickets for India matches in Bengaluru (against the Netherlands) and Kolkata (against South Africa).
    • September 3: Tickets for India’s match in Ahmedabad against Pakistan.
    • September 15: Tickets for the semi-finals (to be held in Mumbai and Kolkata) and the final (to be held in Ahmedabad).

The ICC has recommended that fans sign up on their website, with the registration link becoming operational from August 15. This registration will provide fans with regular updates concerning ticket releases.
